# CSV

> Export your data to a CSV file

Weave supports two CSV export paths:

* **Organization export** — a bulk metrics dump from organization settings (described below)
* **Per-chart export** — download the data behind a single chart from its options menu (see [Per-chart export](#per-chart-export))

## Generating an organization CSV export

1. Go to your [organization settings](https://app.workweave.ai/organization/settings)
2. Navigate to the **CSV Export** section
3. Configure your export options (see below)
4. Click **Generate CSV**
5. Wait for the export to complete (this may take a few minutes)
6. Click **Download CSV** when ready

## Export options

### Time granularity

Choose how to break down your data by time:

* **Day** - Daily breakdown
* **Week** - Weekly breakdown
* **Month** - Monthly breakdown (default)
* **Quarter** - Quarterly breakdown
* **Year** - Yearly breakdown

### Date range

Optionally specify a custom date range for your export:

* **From date** - Start date (inclusive). If not specified, defaults to 6 months ago
* **To date** - End date (exclusive). If not specified, defaults to today

The start date must be before the end date.

### Breakdown by

Choose how to group your data:

* **Individual** - Include individual-level metrics (default: enabled)
* **Team** - Include team-level metrics (default: enabled)

You can enable both, either, or neither depending on your needs.

## Included metrics

CSV exports include the following metrics:

| Metric | Description |
| - | - |
| Name | Individual name (if breakdown by individual is enabled) |
| Email | Individual email (if breakdown by individual is enabled) |
| Team | Team name (if breakdown by team is enabled) |
| Period Start | Start date of the time period (if time granularity is set) |
| Output | Total code output |
| Output (Features) | Code output for feature PRs |
| Output (Bugs) | Code output for bug PRs |
| Output (KTLO) | Code output for KTLO PRs |
| Code Review Count | Number of code reviews |
| Code Review Quality | Code review quality score |
| Code iLOC | Lines of code |
| Code Turnover | Code turnover metric |
| Story Points | Story points completed |

Columns are included based on your breakdown and content selections. For example, if you disable breakdown by individual, the Name and Email columns won't appear.

## Export process

CSV exports are processed asynchronously:

1. When you click **Generate CSV**, a job is created and queued for processing
2. The export runs in the background and may take several minutes depending on your data size
3. You'll see a status message indicating the export is in progress
4. Once complete, a **Download CSV** button appears
5. Click the button to download your CSV file

The download link is valid for 1 hour. If you need to download again after the link expires, generate a new export.

## Default behavior

If you don't specify custom options, the export will:

* Include data from the last 6 months
* Break down data by month
* Include both individual and team breakdowns
* Include all available metrics

## Per-chart export

On most report and dashboard charts, organization **admins** can download the visible chart data as a CSV file:

1. Open the chart's options menu (the **⋯** button in the chart header)
2. Click **Export as CSV**

The download reflects the chart's current filters, grouping, and visible series — the same data shown on screen. Numeric values are rounded to two decimal places. The export downloads immediately (no background job).

Per-chart export is available across cartesian, pie, listogram, scatter, data-table, and AI-vs-human output charts, including widgets on [custom dashboards](/features/custom-dashboards).

<Tip>
  The Overview report's page-level **Export** button downloads the master chart only. Use per-chart export on individual charts elsewhere.
