# Wooly AI

> Your AI-powered engineering analytics assistant

Wooly AI is Weave's intelligent assistant that helps you analyze engineering metrics, explore your data, and generate insights through natural language queries.

**Member access:** Admins can enable Wooly for members in **Organization settings → Permissions** (`Allow members to use Wooly AI`). When enabled, members only see their own individual metrics; org-wide aggregate metrics (no person filter) are still available.

## How to access

There are several ways to open Wooly AI:

* Press `W` to toggle the Wooly AI sidebar
* Press `N` to start a new conversation
* Click the Wooly AI button in the bottom right corner
* Navigate directly to `/agent`

## What you can ask

Wooly AI can help you with:

<AccordionGroup>
  <Accordion icon="chart-line" title="Metrics and analytics">
    * "Show me PR cycle time for the backend team last quarter"
    * "What's our code review turnaround trend?"
    * "Compare code output between teams"
    * "How has AI output percentage changed over time?"
  </Accordion>

  <Accordion icon="search" title="Search and exploration">
    * "Find PRs related to authentication"
    * "Show me tasks completed by Sarah this month"
    * "What are the largest PRs merged this week?"
  </Accordion>

  <Accordion icon="users" title="Team and organization">
    * "Who are the top contributors this month?"
    * "Show me the team structure"
    * "What repositories does the platform team work on?"
  </Accordion>

  <Accordion icon="code" title="Repository analysis">
    * "Analyze the codebase structure in repo X"
    * "Find TODO comments in the frontend repo"
    * "Who has contributed to this file recently?"
  </Accordion>

  <Accordion icon="lightbulb" title="Best practices">
    * "What's a good PR cycle time target?"
    * "How should I structure 1:1 meetings?"
    * "Best practices for code review"
  </Accordion>
</AccordionGroup>

## Using mentions

You can mention specific team members or teams in your queries using `@`:

* `@John Smith` - Reference a specific person
* `@Backend Team` - Reference a specific team

Mentions work with both regular queries and slash commands.

## Memories

Wooly AI remembers important context about your organization, such as:

* Team structures and responsibilities
* Project priorities and goals
* Historical context you've shared

This helps provide more relevant and personalized responses over time.

## Charts and visualizations

When you ask about metrics, Wooly AI automatically generates charts to visualize the data. These charts are interactive and can be explored further.
