# Overview

> Connect your project management tools to track tasks, sprints, and delivery

Weave integrates with project management platforms to sync tasks, issues, and project data, connecting planned work to actual code delivery.

## What's synced from project management tools

All platforms sync the following data:

## Task-to-code linking

Weave automatically links tasks to code changes:

### Automatic linking

Tasks are linked to PRs when:

* PR title or description mentions task ID (e.g., "WEB-123")
* Branch name includes task ID (e.g., "feature/WEB-123-login")

Commit messages aren't scanned for task IDs.

### Manual linking

On a project report, admins can search the organization's pull requests and link or unlink them directly to the project or to individual tasks. Manual links are included in project progress and output metrics alongside automatic links.

### Smart matching

* **Fuzzy matching:** Handles variations in task ID format
* **Multiple tasks:** One PR can link to multiple tasks
* **Cross-platform:** Works across all Git platforms

### Benefits

## Data privacy

Weave syncs only task metadata:

* Task titles and descriptions
* Status, priority, and assignments
* Time tracking and estimates

**We never store:**

* Customer personal information in tasks
* Proprietary business data
* Financial information
* Sensitive IP
