Wooly AI is Weave’s intelligent assistant that helps you analyze engineering metrics, explore your data, and generate insights through natural language queries. Member access: Admins can enable Wooly for members in Organization settings → Permissions (Allow members to use Wooly AI). When enabled, members only see their own individual metrics; org-wide aggregate metrics (no person filter) are still available.

  • “What’s our code review turnaround trend?”
  • “Compare code output between teams”
  • “How has AI output percentage changed over time?”
  • “Find PRs related to authentication”

  • “Who has contributed to this file recently?”
  • “What’s a good PR cycle time target?”
  • “How should I structure 1:1 meetings?”
  • “Best practices for code review”

Using mentions

You can mention specific team members or teams in your queries using @:
  • @John Smith - Reference a specific person
  • @Backend Team - Reference a specific team
Mentions work with both regular queries and slash commands.

Memories

Wooly AI remembers important context about your organization, such as:
  • Team structures and responsibilities
  • Project priorities and goals
  • Historical context you’ve shared
This helps provide more relevant and personalized responses over time.

Charts and visualizations

When you ask about metrics, Wooly AI automatically generates charts to visualize the data. These charts are interactive and can be explored further.
